POUM of Sant Ramon

Urban model and land use regulation

The Municipal Urban Development Plan (POUM) of Sant Ramon provides the regulatory and strategic framework for the comprehensive municipal planning, located in the Segarra region. The document covers the definition of the territorial model, land use regulations, and growth projections, with the aim of ensuring balanced and sustainable development.

The proposal organizes the various urban and non-developable areas, preserving the landscape and agricultural values characteristic of the territory, while also defining reserves for public facilities, open spaces, and infrastructures. It is given special attention to the consolidation of the existing town center and the improvement of its urban structure, optimizing the relationship between established areas and potential growth zones.

The plan incorporates environmental sustainability criteria, efficient land use, and resource rationalization, as well as the integration of the municipality’s new social and economic needs. In this regard, the POUM serves as a key tool for urban management and the future development of Sant Ramon, ensuring coherence between planning and territorial reality.
